Saint Francis University has been named one of the top 100 universities to pursue an online bachelor’s degree in business. According to U.S. News and World Report, the university ranks 79th in its list of "Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs." This ranking is based on widely accepted indicators of online learning excellence including student engagement metrics, faculty credentials, and access to support services and technology.

The university's developing Aviation Technician program received a CRJ200 airframe donated by SkyWest Airlines which will give future students the invaluable opportunity to train on a regional jet airframe as a regular part of the proposed curriculum.

Saint Francis University has been awarded a $1 million grant by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to launch an Aviation Maintenance Technician School. The new Aviation Maintenance Technician School will be sited at the John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County Airport and will offer a 14 CFR 147-certified training curriculum for Aviation Maintenance Technicians.
Mike Amenti originally enrolled at Saint Francis University in 2007 as a Communications major, but like many first year students, he was very uncertain with what he wanted to do in life at that point. He took a wide variety of business, health and even scuba courses. Mike was passionate about SCUBA, and obtained his SCUBA instructor certification, but after 3.5 years of school he still didn’t have the clarity he had hoped for about where his life was headed.
