Administrative/Staff

  • Graduate Assistantships are offered at Saint Francis University in a variety of academic and administrative departments throughout campus.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Acceptance to one of the University's graduate programs as a full-time student
    • Each department may have additional requirements (ex. athletics- coaching/playing experience)
    • Once hired, completion of a Graduate Assistant contract through Academic Affairs- terms to be determined between the sponsoring department and the Graduate Assistant.  If hired in an athletic coaching position another contract is issued from Human Resources.

    Tuition Remission:

    • Graduate assistants are eligible for full tuition remission for up to 9 credits per semester.  Summer varies according to each department.  Positions as a coach within Athletics may offer a stipend in addition to tuition remission
    • Fees, books and additional credits are the responsibility of the Graduate Assistant

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full-time Instructional Designer in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).  The Instructional Designer collaborates with faculty, content experts, and instructional professionals to design, develop, deliver, and monitor effective and engaging learning experiences for faculty, staff and students.  The Instructional Designer manages projects, instructional design tasks, and multimedia production, including producing and editing videos, creating custom images, and enhancing the graphic design of materials.  This individual is responsible for overseeing a subset of online courses to ensure on-time delivery of course content.  The Instructional Designer coordinates and delivers training in a variety of formats for faculty and staff.

    Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or closely related field, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.  Minimum of two years of experience in the field of instructional/educational technology, including designing, developing, and delivering higher education technology based instructional projects and programs.  Experience designing and producing multimedia resources, working with audio, video, and graphics. Knowledge of educational processes and pedagogies, especially in higher education.  Experience designing or teaching online courses,  especially in higher education.  Familiarity with UDL, Accessibility and copyright standards.  Extensive knowledge of current and emerging instructional and multimedia technologies.  Proven ability to continually learn new and emerging instructional strategies.  Demonstrated success in planning and delivering training. Experience in applying quality assurance standards to online course design and delivery.  Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within an academic community. Commitment to excellent customer service.  Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full-time Staff Accountant I (A/P) in the department of the Business Office.  The Staff Accountant I (A/P) is responsible to the Controller to perform all related accounts payable duties.  Responsible for approvals, inputs, and payment of invoices and reimbursements.  Works closely with the Purchasing department and Staff Accountant II to assure compliance with the University's purchasing credit card policy.  Responsible for data entry of all general ledger journal entries on a daily basis.

Athletics

    Saint Francis University, a Division I member of the Northeast Conference, invites applications for a full time Assistant Director, Athletic Performance in the Department of Athletics.  The Assistant Director is responsible to the Director, Athletic Performance to assist with the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for all of the University's sports programs including 4-6 Olympic teams and assist with football.

    The successful candidate must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Saint Francis University, the NEC, and the NCAA. In addition, the candidate must understand and actively support the mission of the Department of Athletics.

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time position as Technical/Media Director, Theatre in the Center for Fine Arts.  The Director is a hands-on role and is primarily responsible for management, support and implementation of all production, technical elements (lighting, sound, media [video & projection], effects, construction, etc.) and staging requirements for the Resinski Black Box Theatre, JFK Auditorium and select performance and production sites.  The Director must always represent SFU Theatre as a brand ambassador to students, potential students, faculty, SFU employees, the community, guest artists, vendors, and the audience.

    Bachelor's in Theatre required, Master of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre is preferred.  Three to eight years with hands-on theatrical production, media, technology and stagecraft experience at the University or professional level preferred.  Effective oral and written communication skills are required.  Ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders.  Excellent time management, team building, collaborative, and interpersonal skills required. Proficient with Apple, Microsoft applications in conjunction with training provided by Aperio Design Consultants.  Ability to design, read, and understand floor plans, design sketches, blueprints, construction plans and the ability to produce working drawings are a plus.

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a 12 month full time non-tenured position of Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) faculty member in the Department of Nursing.  The FNP faculty member is responsible to the chairperson and the MSN/FNP Program Director to teach courses within the FNP curriculum.  This position will monitor clinical progress of each individual FNP student throughout the  curriculum, maintain assurance of continuity of meeting the identified individual learning needs of each FNP student. Monitor clinical formative assessment measures currently in place and provide evidence of how assessment measures are implemented and evaluated.  Actively involved in ongoing record keeping as required by CCNE and PASBON.

    The FNP faculty will have FNP teaching responsibilities, advise students, participate in departmental and University service activities, be involved in recruitment and retention activities, and ongoing scholarship/professional development within the Nursing program. Expertise in curriculum innovation as well as commitment to teaching and scholarly excellence expected.

    Successful candidate should have a Masters of Science in Nursing, an active unencumbered PA Registered Nurse license and Family Nurse Practitioner with national unencumbered certification in PA.  Experience in teaching FNP clinical courses and experience with NTF, CCNE, and PASBON requirement of FNP program.  Experience with required FNP clinical record keeping.  Experience with online education and online learning platforms.  Flexibility of scheduling.  The candidate will be hired at a rank commensurate with experience and degrees.

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a 12-month full time tenured, director/faculty position in the University's Department of Nursing MSN/FNP and Post Master's FNP programs.  The Director is responsible to the chairperson for academic, regulatory and clinical coordination of the MSN/FNP and Post Master's FNP programs.  Leads the preparation for the self-study visits for the FNP and Post Master's FNP, maintenance of CCNE accreditation and PA State Board of Nursing requirements, and submission of all required documents.  Oversight of all administrative aspects of the programs including coordination and curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.  Recruitment of preceptors and adjunct faculty.  Initiates and maintains communication and correspondence between academic and clinical sites as primary liaison with clinical sites.  Oversight of admissions processes, recruitment, and advising.  Teaches a reduced/appropriate course load in the MSN/FNP program.

    Successful candidates should possess a master's and doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited institution, or the ability to complete a doctoral degree by time of hire.  Board certification as an FNP.  An unencumbered RN license in PA or eligibility for licensure in PA; an unencumbered FNP certification in PA or eligibility for certification in PA; a commitment to prepare FNP students for practice; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent teaching, service and scholarship; an interest and passion for healthcare in rural and underserved populations.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience in online teaching, simulation instruction, course development, and program accreditation.  The candidate will be hired at a rank commensurate with experience and degrees.

    The successful candidate should hold a master's degree in physician assistant sciences, medical doctor, or doctor of osteopathy, should be licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania (Physician Assistant, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathy) or ability to obtain a license, and have minimum of three years of clinical experience.  Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills are required.  Experience in curriculum development, academic coordination and prior teaching in a PA or health professions program is strongly preferred.
