SAINT FRANCIS UNIVERSITY

PEACE Partnership Program

OVERVIEW

Furthering Catholic Education for Schools and Families

Saint Francis University strongly promotes the continuance of a Catholic Education through its PEACE program (Partnership for Excellence in the Advancement of Catholic Education).  By becoming a PEACE member school, you will enable students to continue their Catholic education beyond high school.  A partnership with Saint Francis University supports students who are driven to learn and lead through faith.

Schools joining the PEACE program  will provide advantages to students:

Why SFU?

The guiding principles of the Catholic Faith, Humility, Generosity, Reverence, Service, Respect, Prayer, Joy, and Love are the values we embrace at Saint Francis University.

Attracting like-minded students to join our community is a guiding principle in all we do.  Saint Francis University understands that quality education and innovative experiences equate to student success.

Our Catholic and Franciscan values compel graduates to become thoughtful and conscientious leaders.

Scholarships

By participating in the PEACE program, schools enable students to access exclusive scholarship opportunities.  These scholarships help families offset the expense of high-quality education and further our mission of enhancing access to Catholic education.  Students attending PEACE member schools:

  • Automatically receive the Franciscan Award of $8,000 over four years ($2,000 annually)
  • Qualify for guaranteed academic scholarship amounts starting at $80,000 over four years ($20,000 annually)

Admission Consideration

A commitment to access is a hallmark of the PEACE program.  Therefore, all students graduating from participating PEACE schools receive guaranteed admission and scholarship awards.  Minimum standards apply for general programs (3.0 GPA or 85% average).  Students pursuing admission to specialized/accelerated programs receive weighted consideration.

Please contact the Office of Admission for a detailed list of specialized/accelerated programs.

Alta Via

Students who are dedicated to deepening their faith journey while in college are encouraged to apply to the Alta Via program.  Preference will be given to students graduating from PEACE member schools.

Alta Via is a highly selective program geared towards students who wish to participate fully in an intentionally Catholic college experience.  Alta Via offers students:

  • a residential experience with other like-minded students
  • participation in specially designed sequential courses
  • integrated community service opportunities
  • a pilgrimage experience designed to further deepen their faith journey

Exclusive Opportunities for PEACE Partners

Member schools may take advantage of partnership benefits such as:

  • Discounts to  STEAM summer academies  for students
  • Preferred status for applicants to the Summer Study Away program
  • Guaranteed admission
  • Guaranteed scholarships
  • Access to professional staff who will provide FAFSA completion days, college admission and financial aid workshops, and other carefully designed seminars with students and parents in mind.

Why and How to Join PEACE

At Saint Francis University, we are passionate about building experiences that will further students' intellectual, spiritual, social, and professional growth and development.   We know many Catholic high schools share this same enthusiasm.   In joining the PEACE program, we are working in partnership to deliver a shared mission and commitment to further Catholic education.
