For their 2025 Capstone Design project, our Environmental Engineering student team of Ashlyn Campagna, Andre Isreal, Isabel Lumley, and Kevin Salmon, partnered with BioMost, Inc., an experienced AMD treatment company in western Pennsylvania, to explore strategies for managing some of the monitoring needs of their AMD treatment sites remotely.

$1 Million Scholarship Donation Helped 200 New Students Begin Their SFU Journey

The receipt of a transformative $1 million scholarship gift from a Saint Francis alumna who has chosen to remain anonymous has directly supported 200 first-year students who enrolled at the University in August 2025. Each student received $5,000 as part of the gift.

Emerging healthcare professional Alexis Marcotte is a dedicated Honors scholar, a curious global explorer, and a voice for compassionate health care. Her Honors Thesis investigated factors that influence quality of life in skilled nursing facilities, inspired by her work in a nursing home.
