Two days - four ceremonies - one amazing weekend to celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021! The in-person 170th Commencement exercises have been reimagined to maintain tradition yet celebrate two classes in smaller gatherings that respects the guidelines outlined by the Governor of Pennsylvania.

    RSVP online for In-Person Commencement Exercises. Both 2020 and 2021 graduates can reserve tickets through the  on-line ticketing systemDeadline for ticket reservations is April 30, 2021.  


    Our Commencement confirmation numbers are coming in at a rate that will allow us to increase the number of guest tickets per confirmed graduate while remaining within gathering guidelines.  All confirmed graduates are now able to invite a total of 4 guests.  Click here for instructions on requesting additional tickets if you have already confirmed you attendance. 

    Additional information:

    • Through the online ticketing system you will confirm your attendance at your designated exercises (schedules below).  2020 undergraduate degree recipients who are now 2021 graduate students may attend both of their ceremonies and may receive 4 guest tickets for each ceremony.
    • Share the names of your (4) guests and an e-mail address for each guest to receive a confirmation email along with a unique non-transferable ticket. Tickets may not be duplicated due to unique identifiers. 
    •  Attendees may print their tickets or display the ticket via their cell phone upon arrival.  
    • Graduates may add/remove guests after their initial reservation by returning to the on-line ticketing system.
    • Academic Regalia is required to walk in commencement. Order by April 12 at: (Tassels feature a custom signet rather than a specific year so don't worry about the year when you place your order. )  
  • Ceremony Schedules

    All ceremonies will be held in the Maurice Stokes Athletics Center.  A link to view the live-streamed ceremonies will be provided here for those who cannot attend. Participating graduates will receive a diploma case on stage to keep.  All diplomas will be mailed at a later date.
