Announcing the Next SFU Alumni Trip

The Shrines of Spain Alumni Pilgrimage

 December 1-11, 2024

Join the Very Rev. Malachi Van Tassell, T.O.R., Ph.D., President of Saint Francis University, as we embark on the Shrines of Spain Pilgrimage, December 1-11, 2024.

Starting in Barcelona and working our way west towards the opposite coast, we will visit well-known locations like Madrid, Toledo and the El Camino Trail, but also lesser-known holy sites like the Black Madonna of Montserrat; the Basilica del Pilar, built upon the site where Our Lady appeared to St. James; La Basilica de San Vicente in Avila, the site of the martyrdom of St. Vincent, and much more. We will walk in the footsteps of early church leaders such as St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. James the Greater, one of the Twelve Apostles and the individual who spread the Gospel throughout Spain.

This air-and-land trip is all inclusive, with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided each day, and with all hotel stays and entrance fees included in the price. Pricing starts at $5,457 per person for double travelers and is based on flights out of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City or Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. However, you may select a more convenient airport closer to your home from the menu provided. (Pricing will vary from other airports.)

Seating is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. A nonrefundable $400 deposit is required at the time of registration.

To ensure this trip is a success, Saint Francis University is partnering with 206 Tours, the leader in custom Catholic pilgrimages. Trip-specific logistical questions can best be answered by their team, and their contact information is listed on the trip’s webpage, the link for which can be found here.
