Jeanette Black graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with a B.S. in Education and certification in Social Studies and Safety/Driver Education. The majority of her career has been spent teaching Social Studies at the high school level. In 1999, Mrs. Black received an MA in
Education from Saint Francis University. In 2006, she completed the principal certification program there as well.
As a result of a great love of reading and books, Mrs. Black completed the MS in Library Science program at Clarion University. During enrollment in this program, she also came to believe strongly in the importance of information literacy for students today. Technology
plays an integral part in not only information literacy, but also in education. Completing the Instructional Technology Specialist certification program at Clarion University in 2007 seemed like a natural next step.
In recent years, Mrs. Black has had the pleasure of serving as a high school library media specialist and full time technology coach which gave her the opportunity to work with and learn from a wide array of teaching professionals. Mrs. Black now serves as the Director of
Curriculum and Instruction for Penn Cambria School District as well as continuing to serve as the Technology Coach.
