Alexis Bradfield is an exercise physiologist working at a hospital in Aspen, CO. While her primary focus is cardiac rehabilitation, the hospital has also begun an exercise oncology rehabilitation service. Lexi is one of the exercise physiologists who treat individuals living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis. Hearing about our Cancer Care program through one of our graduates, Lexi was excited to increase her education in the field of exercise oncology, through matriculation in our hybrid MS in Exercise Oncology degree. It was graduation night this past Tuesday for three of our four-legged students! Belle, Vickey and Midnight graduated from Saint Francis University this past Tuesday! The trio of shelter dogs from the Humane Society of Cambria County received an SFU collar tag, a diploma and an AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. The Ceremony included an introduction of the graduating dogs, their students, community partners and adopting families. Now they are ready to find their "furever" homes. Neuro Wellness Clinics

The Occupational and Physical Therapy Departments have collaborated this year to host their annual Neuro Wellness Clinics. The Neuro Wellness Clinics were introduced under the supervision of Dr. Lorie Rowles, Shelley Mazzetti (MOT Class of ’17) and Dr. Robyn Redline, Dr. Brittany Kennedy, and Dr. Jessica Cammarata. The clinics are held annually for 6 weeks. The purpose of the clinics is for the students to engage with local community members and offer them specialized services such as Occupational and Physical Therapy. Donation from 1889 Foundation supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Library

The 1889 Foundation recently awarded $25,000 to Saint Francis University in support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The program makes books available to children in Cambria County from birth to age five and is entirely free for families regardless of income.

Thank you to all of the First Responders who attended our First Responders Day, organized by the Criminal Justice Club and Residence Life. First Responders attending this event included, local volunteer fire departments (Cresson & Loretto), EMS, police agencies, PA State Police, and the PA Attorney General's Office. Mass was held for those First responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and all First Responder participants were treated to a complimentary lunch at Torvian Dining Hall.
