STEAM Day 2025: Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators

Since its beginnings more than three decades ago, Saint Francis University’s STEAM Day has continued to open doors for high school students eager to explore the worlds of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. What began as a small gathering in the early 1990s has grown into a signature experience that connects young learners with the energy, creativity, and expertise found across the SFU campus.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, SFU welcomed 386 students from 21 participating schools for a full day of hands-on discovery and career exploration. This year’s event featured a dynamic lineup of learning opportunities, including four feature presentations hosted in the JFK Lounge and 35 faculty-led sessions spread across campus laboratories,  studios, and classrooms. STEAM Day gives students the chance to rotate through sessions in a conference-style format, allowing them to sample disciplines, interact with university faculty and students,  and envision themselves pursuing future academic and professional pathways.

From engineering demonstrations to creative arts workshops to technology-focused challenges,  participants experienced firsthand what it means to learn at a university committed to innovation and curiosity. Thanks to the continued support of the School of STEAM, the 2025 event once again fostered excitement, discovery, and a spirit of exploration, echoing the mission that has shaped this tradition for more than 30 years.
