Saint Francis University welcomes new board members for 2025

Saint Francis University has announced the election of two new members to its Board of Trustees for four-year terms beginning this fall.

The new members are Lisa Koehl of Chicago, IL, Managing Director with JPMorgan Chase & Co and Dr. Jeffrey Mendenhall (Class of '89) of Rutland, MA, Senior Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The members begin a four-year term that may be renewed. Their roles include approving budgets and strategic plans and monitoring University operations.

About the New Trustees


Lisa Koehl (Chicago, IL) is a managing director with JPMorgan Chase & Co. where she is a leader of the firm's accounting policy team. She brings over 25 years of international banking and public accounting experience. She is a founding board of member of One Heart Uganda, an organization dedicated to educating children in Uganda. Lisa graduated with honors from the University of Illinois with her B.S. in accounting and is a certified public accountant. She is married to Saint Francis alumnus, Patrick ('97). They enjoy visiting their two college-aged boys and are active parishioners at St. Josaphat Catholic Church.


Jeffrey A. Mendenhall, Ph.D. (Rutland, MA) is a member of the Senior Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Saint Francis College and a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Pennsylvania State University. Over the last 29 years at MIT, Jeff has filled multiple technical and leadership roles on numerous programs demonstrating new space systems capabilities for NASA. He has also served as Group Leader for the Optical Systems Engineering and Advanced Imager Technology groups. Currently, Jeff is serving at the technical advisor for the Saint Francis University CubeSat program, whose goal is to develop and fly the University’s first spacecraft in 2027.
