In its annual list, Forbes ranked colleges and universities in the U.S. based on the return on investment and outcomes top schools delivered for their students. According to Forbes, their methodology highlighted schools whose students graduated on time, secured high salaries and low debt; and went on to have successful careers. SFU welcomes more than 100 alumni and community mentors to campus Oct. 17- 22. The event is an excellent way for current students to benefit from the professional expertise of past graduates, many of whom are returning to campus for Homecoming celebrations that weekend.

SFU Announces 2021 Mr. And Ms. Frankie Winners The Mr. and Ms. Frankie awards honor the top senior male and female students at the University each academic year. Dylan Gordon and Lauren Montecalvo were awarded the prestigious honor by Father Malachi at the President’s Awards Convocation on April 27, 2021. Saint Francis University has established its first “named” academic program in honor of Dr. Philip Woo. The Dr. Philip Woo Economics Program is part of the Shields School of Business, housed in historic Schwab Hall. Dr. Woo was a respected scholar, dedicated teacher, and successful businessman with a sharp mind for real estate and banking. During his 26 year stellar teaching career, Dr. Woo shared his passion for economics with hundreds, if not thousands, of students, and helped launch many of them into their own successful business careers. Student tradition: As a new class enters Saint Francis University, incoming students gather around the campus bell tower for a ceremony that marks the beginning of their university careers. A short four years later, seniors gather to listen to the bells signify the successful conclusion of their college careers. Tradition maintained: For the seniors in the Class of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic made gathering at the bell tower physically impossible. Yet University President Fr. The Biology and Chemistry departments were delighted to virtually welcome back 2011 Biology/Biochemistry alumna Dr. Caitlin Brown on May 5. In a Google Hangout, Dr. Brown spoke about her career path from SFU to Thomas Jefferson University for her Pharm.D. degree, then to two different clinical residencies, and to her current role serving patients at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN during the COVID-19 pandemic.
