    Biography

    Mrs. Seidel joined Saint Francis in 2013 with 18 years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education.   In addition to her teaching responsibilities in both the undergraduate and graduate business programs at SFU, Ms. Seidel is an academic advisor and member of several committees.  She is also the advisor for the class of 2019 and the SFU dance club.

     

    In 1992, Ms. Seidel earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Geneva College, and in 1999, she received an M.B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is currently a doctoral student at Northcentral University where she is pursuing a doctorate in Business Administration Advanced Accounting.  Ms. Seidel is also a licensed CMA (Certified Management Accountant). 

     

    Ms. Seidel joined Cambria-Rowe Business College (CRBC) in 1996 as a business faculty member in accounting.  In 2003, she was promoted to director of education.  As director, Ms. Seidel hired and trained faculty, developed curriculum, supervised tutoring and library services, maintained faculty resources, and oversaw the learning management system. 

     

    In addition to her teaching role at CRBC, she was also a member of the faculty at Mount Aloysius College, first as an adjunct faculty and later as an instructor for online classes.  In addition to face-to-face classroom methods, Mrs. Seidel has completed a variety of training in online teaching. She worked as a textbook reviewer for a number of publishers and was an independent consultant providing accounting and computerized accounting services to local clients for almost twenty years.

     

    With her busy schedule, Ms. Seidel still finds time to serve her community.  She is an active member of her church, the Red Cross board of directors, and St. Vincent DePaul.  Ms. Seidel also serves on several committees at Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, PA.

     

    Mrs. Seidel is a native of the Johnstown area and currently resides in Upper Yoder Township with her husband of 21 years and their two children. She is a former college basketball player and loves to watch her children participate in sports. Mrs. Seidel’s other interests include spending time with their large family, health and wellness, and antiquing.
