Biography
Christian is the newest Aviation Maintenance Instructor of Practice. He is a Catholic husband and father of five. He has served 23 years in the United States Navy in the aviation field, mostly based in the beautiful state of Washington. He spent time as a powerplants mechanic before becoming a P-3 flight engineer. As aircrew, he accumulated over 4000 flight hours performing combat reconnaissance and maritime patrol missions. He also spent four years in Chicago as a Navy drill instructor, transforming over ten thousand people into basically trained, physically fit sailors. After retiring from the Navy, he acquired his Airframes and Powerplants license based on his years of experience and went on to work for NASA. There, he maintained and flew their fleet of aircraft in Wallops Island, VA, including the P-3, only this time his missions were science-based. He was instrumental in NASA’s recent Arctic mission operated out of Ptuffik Space Base in Greenland.
