Biography
Dr. Alaa Abu Mallouh joined Saint Francis University in 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Finance. His teaching and research interests include corporate finance, corporate governance, executive compensation, R&D, and sustainability. He has taught a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Principles of Financial Management, Microeconomics, and Business and Economic Statistics. In recognition of his dedication to student learning, Dr. Abu Mallouh received the Best Teaching Award in 2024 at the University of New Orleans. He regularly presents his research at national and regional conferences, including the Southwestern Finance Association (SWFA) and the Southwestern Society of Economists (SSE), and was also invited as a speaker to the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Conference. He is passionate about bridging theory and practice in the classroom, preparing students for careers in finance and for informed decision-making in their personal lives.
