Dr. Amanda Johnson, DPM, '14 Major: Biology and Pre-Medicine
Dr. Amanda Johnson, DPM is a podiatric surgery resident at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, OH, specializing in foot and ankle trauma, total ankle replacement and lower extremity wound care.
Amanda graduated from SFU in 2014 with a BS in biology, pre-medicine studies. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine in 2018. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the Kentucky Podiatric Medical Association, and the Association of Women Surgeons.
Dr. Gretta (Ghaner) Brown, OD, '15Major: Biology and Pre-Medicine
Dr. Gretta Brown is a practicing optometrist at Associates in Family Eyecare in Johnstown, PA.
Gretta graduated from SFU in 2015 with a BS in biology, pre-medicine studies. At graduation, she was awarded SFU's highest student honor: Ms. Frankie 2015. She entered into the accelerated scholars program at Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry in May 2018.
Dr. Brenda Kibler, DVM, '09 Major: Biology and Pre-Medicine
Dr. Brenda Kibler is a practicing large animal veterinarian at Black Horse Animal Hospital in Kinzers, PA.
Brenda graduated from SFU in 2009 with a BS in biology, pre-medicine studies. She attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2013.
Dr. Jason Burkett, DO, '09Major: Chemistry and Pre-Medicine
Dr. Jason Burkett maintains a core faculty position with the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Geisinger and is an Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
Jason graduated from SFU in 2009 with a BS in chemistry, pre-medicine studies. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed his medical residency in Emergency Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center. He currently lives and works in Danville, PA with his wife Ashley (Saint Francis B.S. ’10/MPAS ’11) and daughter Reese.
Dr. Kellie R. Skoner, OD, '09Major: Chemistry and Pre-Medicine
Dr. Kellie Skoner joined Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center in 2014. She provides comprehensive eye care, including routine vision, contact lens exams, and cataract post-operative care. Dr. Skoner is also certified in prescribing ocular therapeutics for glaucoma, eye infections and various other eye conditions.
Kellie obtained her B.S. degree in Chemistry from SFU in 2009 with Summa Cum Laude honors, and graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA where she earned the highest academic and clinical honors. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, on the Young OD Committee for Maryland Optometric Association, is a board member for the Anne Arundel County Optometric Society.
