The 27th Annual STEAM day was held virtually on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. There were 409 high school students and 32 high school teachers from 21 schools who participated. The day featured 32 one-hour sessions, including three Keynote presentations, an Esports Rocket League Gaming competition, and an Ethics Debate Team competition.
The presenters included three alumni in Keynote sessions Ms. Margaret Everson from the National Parks Service, Mr. Jim Morhard from NASA, and Dr. Stephen O'Brien from the National Institute of Health, and additional alumni presenters Ms. Jaci Bray a 2020 graduate, Dr. Jason Burkett from Geisinger Health, Mr. Dillon Brown from 3M, Ms. Emily Eichelberger from UPMC Altoona, Ms. Kayla Makin from Conemaugh Health, Ms. Shylah Novak from the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center, Ms. Laura Repogle a student from Conemaugh Medical Laboratory Science Program, Dr. Kellie Skoner from Chesapeake Eye Care, Ms. Sierra Fleegle from the Maryland State Police Crime Laboratory, Dr. Michelle Lipski, a Resident in Critical Care Pharmacy, Dr. Tracy Paxon from GE Global, NY, Mr. Adam Pillot from Animal Adventure Park, Mr. Simon Pitman a Medical Student at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Mr. Tyler Reinhart a 2020 graduate, Ms. Candace Rupert from Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, Mr. Tanner Yawitz a J.D. Candidate at Penn State Law, and Dr. Emily Zagorski from Tower Health.
