Biography
Miss Keegan has experiences working as an Autism teacher in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. She has developed programs in existing schools to help support the needs of students receiving special education services in private and public school settings. Miss Keegan has extensive practice with writing and facilitating Individualized Education Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Positive Behavior Support Plans. Her experience also includes implementing Applied Behavior Analysis interventions and Verbal Behavior programs. Miss Keegan earned her bachelor's degree in Special Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master's degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix.
In addition to her experiences in the classroom, Miss Keegan now supervises itinerant staff through her position as Supervisor of Special Education/Principal of Student Services at Central Intermediate Unit 10. Additional responsibilities of this position include: PASA coordinator, teaching CPI initial and refresher courses, and state liaison for the Pennsylvania Deaf-Blind Project. While in this role, Miss Keegan has the opportunity to provide professional development to schools and staff supporting special education initiatives.
Outside of the school setting, Miss Keegan has hiked across Europe completing two pilgrimages on the Camino de Santiago: 500 miles on the Camino Frances in 2015 and over 200 miles on the Camino Portuguese in 2016. She also completed one thru hike on The Long Trail in 2017 (273 miles from MA/VT border to Canada).
