Kent is an Instructor in the School of Business with a dual appointment in Human Resource Management and Management Information Systems. Prior to this position, he served as the Assistant Director for Information Technology at Saint Francis University’s Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Areas (CERMUSA). In this role, his primary responsibilities included directing and coordinating IT project management and technical support for all Telehealth and Distance Learning prototypes. Throughout his extensive experiences working with CERMUSA, he has served a number of roles relating to technological development and supervision. Under his direction, CERMUSA developed and deployed a number of innovations featuring novel combinations of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies, most notably the patented RF to IP Bridge System, the Mobile Access Point (MAP), and Mobile Communications Platform (MCP). Kent obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications/Public Relations from Saint Francis College in 1995 and a Masters in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Saint Francis University in 2005. Kent also serves as a co-advisor for the Saint Francis University chapter of Enactus, an international entrepreneurial and philanthropic club, as Faculty Athletic Mentor (FAM) for the SFU Marching Band, and as Spiritual Advisor for the SFU Chapter of the Psi Upsilon fraternity.
