Alumni Book Club

  • Alumni Book Club Banner

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Saint Francis University Alumni Book Club, courtesy of the Alumni Association and Office of Alumni Engagement.

In this online community, alumni will connect with each other to read and discuss books on a range of topics and user-submitted ideas. There is no cost to participate—you just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy!

    How Does It Work?

The book club will connect through a private online forum where members can discuss the current book and network with each other. The group will spend approximately two months on each book, so you’ll have plenty of time to read.

    Why Should You Join?

    1. Connect with your fellow alumni regardless of distance
    2. Be a part of a lifelong learning community

    Who Runs the Book Club?

We have partnered with Professional Book Club Guru (PBC Guru) for this project. They manage professional book clubs for companies, libraries, and alumni associations. They will be moderating our book club to help make this program a great experience for all participants.

    When Should I Join?

You can join the Alumni Book Club at any time, although depending when you join you may find yourself in the middle of a reading period. That’s okay! You can either jump into the current book, or see what is next on the reading list and prepare for then. Our reading schedule for 2021 is:

    ●      Reading Period 1: January 7 to March 11
    ●      Reading Period 2: March 18 to May 20
    ●      Reading Period 3: May 27 to July 30
    ●      Reading Period 4: August 6 to October 8
    ●      Reading Period 5: October 15 to December 17
