      Five-year Accounting to MBA Program, B.S. - Course Catalog Major Requirements

      Students who wish to also complete their MBA can choose the "Five-Year Fast-Track" curriculum (requirements link above) and achieve both an undergraduate Accounting B.S. and a MBA in five years. 

      Career Opportunities

      Accounting provides students with uniquely broad career opportunities in the public, private, and government sectors. Potential professional certifications include the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Public accounting provides students opportunities in auditing, taxes, information technology, financial analysis, and consulting. Governmental accounting opportunities abound at the local, state, and federal levels, including potential careers with the FBI or CIA. Saint Francis University accounting graduates are enjoying fruitful and rewarding careers in all areas of industry.


      Our accounting program begins with comprehensive coverage of accounting principles and from there students will learn to develop critical thinking skills to analyze financial statements, control costs, prepare budgets, and make decisions based on accounting data. You will have the opportunity to work and thrive in small classes. Your professor will not just know your name, they will know you. The program offers students a wide-ranging knowledge base that increases their value to employers.

      Student Opportunity: Accounting & Finance Consortium

      The Accounting & Finance Consortium Interview Day is an annual event facilitated by Career Services that gives SFU accounting and finance students the opportunity to interview with top business employers. The interviews often lead to internship and job offers, and have resulted in many SFU students securing positions prior to graduation.
