Kim Beck, School of Health Sciences and Education
The Saint Francis University Social Work Department and the SFU Social Work Club will host The M Factor: Let’s Talk Perimenopause and Menopause, a film screening and panel discussion on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 6–8 p.m., offered both in person and via Zoom.
The event will take place in Rooms 213/214 of the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health & Wellness on the Saint Francis University campus in Loretto. A light dinner will be provided for those attending in person.
Open to the general public, the program will feature a documentary focused on perimenopause and menopause, followed by a panel of health and mental health providers who will discuss common issues they see in clients and patients during this stage of life. The discussion aims to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and provide evidence-based insight into the physical, emotional, and mental health dimensions of midlife transitions.
Participants are eligible to receive two free Social Work Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
The event is sponsored by the American Association of University Women Mini Grant.
Space is limited. Those interested are encouraged to preregister by March 20, 2026. For additional information, contact Dr. Daugherty at mdaugherty@francis.edu.
