St. Clare Scholarship Application
Your Student Government Association is proud to announce that the official application for next year's St. Clare's Scholarship program is now available!
The Saint Francis University Student Government Association (SGA) will award three (3) $2,000 scholarships to traditional undergraduate students (1 sophomore, 1 junior, and 1 senior) during the 2026-2027 academic year who have demonstrated exceptional leadership through areas such as community service and campus involvement. The purpose of this scholarship is to reward SFU students who work to promote the values of SGA—Leadership, Service, and Community.
Eligibility: All full-time undergraduate students who will be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior years who are in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University.
To Apply: Complete the online application and submit all requested materials by 4:00pm Friday, April 3, 2026. Selected finalists may be asked to complete an interview with members of the Saint Francis University Student Government Association's Executive Board.
Process: The selection process will work as follows:
- Application Deadline – Friday, April 3, 2026 @ 4:00PM
- Applications will be reviewed by the SGA Executive Board where final candidates will be selected and interviews may be scheduled
- Final selections for the scholarships will include consideration of financial need as reported through the Office of Financial Aid
- Recipients of the Scholarship will be announced at the annual Student Involvement Awards on Tuesday, April 21, 2026

Information Needed to Complete the Application:
2 Letters of Recommendation: These can either be attached directly into your application, or the letters can be emailed to SGA@francis.edu. NOTE- both letters must be received by Monday, April 6 at Noon in order for your application to be submitted.
Essay: In a separate document that you will upload to the application- please answer the following questions as part of an essay summarizing your leadership experiences.
- Please list and discuss, briefly, the position and scope of your previous and most significant leadership/service experiences.
- What have you learned from these leadership experiences?
- In what ways do you feel you have made a positive impact on the Saint Francis University community?
- What are your personal leadership goals for the next year? After graduating from Saint Francis University?
- Why should you be considered for this year's SGA/St. Clare's Scholarship program?
