Reminder: University Posting Policy

Center for Student Engagement

Greetings!

As a new academic year has begun- we wanted to take a brief moment to remind you about the Posting Policy for Saint Francis University:

  • All posters must be approved by the Center for Student Engagement prior to being distributed across campus.  The only exception to this is Resident Assistant programming and/ or signage related to a particular residence hall (for example laundry rules, quiet hour notices, etc.)  In those cases, Residence Life may approve those posters.
  • For poster Approval:
    • Please bring to the office (JFK 101) or send studentlife@francis.edu a PDF copy of your flyer for approval
    • For recognized student organizations, CSE can also print up to 50 copies (in color) of your approved poster (8.5x11)
  • Under no circumstances should posters or signs be affixed to building surfaces, doors, windows or furnishings
    • This includes leaving posters on tables/ soft seating in building lounges.  Unfortunately, this has been an ongoing problem which causes these areas to look unkempt.  Moving forward, posters left in these areas will be removed.
    • Please use the strips provided in the buildings to affix your signage.
  • No one will deface other posters or signage.  If there is a concern regarding a posting, please contact our office.
  • It is the responsibility of the group to remove the sign after the publicized event/ program has occurred or after being posted for 14 days

Failure to follow this policy may result in posting privileges being suspended.  We certainly do not want to resort to this and hope this reminder will assist everyone in advertising their events, but also keeping areas tidy and neat.

All Student Policies and Procedures (including the full listing of this policy) can be found in the University Student Handbook.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this matter.
