A Life of Service 9/11 Event

The History and Political Science Department honors the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with Dr. Kacy Crowley's moving story. The event will take place on Friday, September 11 from 12:00pm-1:00pm in Pauda 110.

Dr. Kacy Crowley participated in the School of STEAM's "Why I Served" veterans' storytelling event with  Dr. Kirk Weixel as her mentor. The piece she developed there is now going to be published in the Northern Appalachian Review. Kacy was in high school at/near Shanksville, and seeing the smoke from the plane that went down there on 9/11 helped inspire her to join the military; she is now a Sociology professor at Westmoreland Community College.
