October is Domestic & Dating Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) - a time to show support for survivors, raise awareness about healthy relationships, and work together to end abuse. Join us throughout the month as we take part in activities that promote education, empowerment, and community healing. 

💜 National Wear Purple Day – “Purple Thursday” 
Thursday, October 16 | Campus-wide 
Join this National Day of Awareness by wearing purple to show support for survivors and honor those affected by domestic violence. Post your purple pride using #PurpleThursday, #WearPurpleDay, and #Every1KnowsSome1 to spread awareness and start the conversation about ending abuse. 

📸 Photo Booth Friday 
Friday, October 17 | Padua Hall 
Join us in support of #DVAM and #PurpleWithAPurpose! Stop by for a fun photo booth with props, printed Polaroids, and snacks. 

🤝 Victim Services on Campus 
Tuesday, October 21 | 6–7 PM | DiSepio Atrium (ground floor by Student Health) 
Meet with representatives from Victim Resources to learn about services, support, and ways to get involved.

Friday, October 24 | Padua Hall 
Stop by our tabling event to test your knowledge and learn more about dating violence awareness. Enjoy super fun purple giveaways while showing your support for survivors! 

🍎 Consent is CRISP 
Wednesday, October 29 | 2–4 PM | Torvian 
The C.R.I.S.P. approach promotes Considered, Reversible, Informed, Specific, and Participatory - key ingredients for building and maintaining healthy relationships.  We will discuss consent over Apple CRISP and ice cream - a perfect blend of sweet treats and meaningful conversation!
