Compressed Schedule In honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the University will observe a compressed schedule on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Classes beginning after 4:00 P.M. remain unchanged. The schedule for individual classes or labs beginning at other times will be adjusted to correspond with the schedule above and announced to the students by the course instructor.
Students are encouraged to attend the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Convocation on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in DiSepio 213-214.
Convocation Speaker: Rev. Sylvia King was elected Mayor of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, in November 2025. Mayor King is a lifelong public servant and community advocate with deep roots in Johnstown. As a 2-term Johnstown City Council member, she has worked tirelessly to stabilize neighborhoods, support families, promote small businesses, and create a more accountable and responsive city government. Her mayoral campaign was driven by a vision of unity, opportunity, collaboration, generational progress, and hope for all Johnstown residents.
Mayor Sylvia King will share with the SFU community her rise from resident to community leader to elected official in Johnstown and her implementation of the Beloved Community concept, popularized by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
