The Dorothy Day Outreach Center, created in 1981, is a volunteer-based agency on the Saint Francis University campus in Loretto that strives to live out Franciscan values by following in the footsteps of its namesake, Dorothy Day.
Through generosity of the campus community and several local parishes, the center serves local families in need with support, programs, food, clothing and monetary assistance.
We serve others with respect and dignity and provide hospitality and warmth to those who enter our modest home. We know that asking for assistance can be humbling, and we will not let anyone feel any less for needing help.
Please contact us if you need assistance. Our doors and hearts are open.
