Celebrating Law Day 2026: "The Rule of Law and the American Dream."

This year's Red Mass aligns with the 2026 Law Day theme, "The Rule of Law and the American Dream." The rule of law is grounded in the principle that no individual is above the law. The law serves as the foundation for a just society. It safeguards the rights of all people, ensuring the freedom to pursue opportunity, purpose, and the promise of the American Dream.

Keynote Speaker: Justice P. Kevin Brobson.

The keynote address will be delivered by Justice P. Kevin Brobson of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Justice Brobson was elected to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in November 2021 and was sworn in on January 3, 2022. Prior to his election, he served for 12 years in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, including as president judge beginning in 2020. His public service also includes a four-year term on the Judicial Conduct Board of Pennsylvania and time as Jurist in Residence at Widener University Commonwealth Law School.

Before joining the bench, Justice Brobson was a litigation shareholder at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, where he led the firm's Insurance & Reinsurance Practice Group. He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Lycoming College, and his law degree, summa cum laude, from Widener Commonwealth Law School, where he served as managing editor of The Law Review. He also clerked for the Honorable James McGirr Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
