Biography

As an alumnus of Saint Francis University and a well-acknowledged professor here, Dr. John Woznak is deeply acquainted with the Franciscan values of the institution. His book, Stewards of the Vision, was the sesquicentennial tribute to the history of Saint Francis College/University and the goals of Franciscan education that guided the school from its founding. His educational interests include British literature, popular culture, and their rich intersections. He has taught courses ranging from Chaucer to the literary foundations of the films of M. Night Shymalan. Some of Dr. Woznak’s campus talks and presentations include a bicentennial lecture on the history of Saint Francis College/University, a series of “Day of Reflection” musical concerts based on the writings of Saint Francis of Assisi, and an address on Shakespeare and his age.
