The Science Outreach Center at Saint Francis University, Hollidaysburg Area Public Library, and Allegheny Creamery & Crepes are excited to offer several unique opportunities for the community!
Cosmic Arts is an astronomy/art program that invites its participants to explore our universe through watercolors and acrylics that will be held in Summer 2019.
During each session, Dr. Lanika Ruzhitskaya, will present short lessons on related topics and discoveries in astronomy while Ms. Jennifer Wagner will follow with lessons on using various art techniques to create artistic yet scientifically accurate paintings and sketches of galaxies, stellar clusters, and other mysterious objects in the universe!
The program will conclude with a showcase of participants’ art at our Cosmic Arts Exhibition at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library.
All art supplies are provided!
