      Veteran-Student's Last Semester in VALP

Joshua Grimes is a 24-year-old VALP-student in his final semester of the Master of Physician Assistant Program at SFU.

Future: Upon graduation from the Physician Assistant Program, Grimes will be attending Officer Development School (ODS) to be trained in a Naval Officer's responsibilities. Upon graduation from ODS, his position and placement will then be determined as he becomes employed as a Physician Assistant in the United States Navy.

Why VALLO: "The VALLO program has been one of the greatest aids to me as I have worked towards obtaining my Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. The program has offered immense benefits to me mainly in two ways. Firstly, working towards a degree is difficult and expensive, but the VALLO program helped ease the financial burden and allowed me to focus more on my education and less on finances. Secondly, the VALLO program has helped me meet some of the great people who make the program possible, allowing me to get answers to many of the questions I have had."
