    Biography

    Dr. Gallagher has been an educator for over forty years.  He retired in 2013 as the Superintendent of Schools in the Hollidaysburg Area School District after 14 years and 37 years of service in public education.  Prior to serving as superintendent of schools, he was an elementary and secondary principal in the Indiana Area School District for 15 years. He began his career as an elementary teacher in the Carlisle Area and South Middleton Township School District from 1976-84. He teaches School Law in the M.Ed. program and two courses in the Superintendent Certification program. He also has worked part-time, since 2013, for the Education Department at Mount Aloysius College. He and his wife, Anne have four children and six grandchildren.
