    Biography

    Mrs. Burlingame is the Altoona Area School District Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction K-12 and Elementary Education. She served as the Altoona Area High School Principal for eight years and the Assistant Principal for eight years. Mrs. Burlingame has also served as the Elementary Facilitator for Central Pennsylvania Digital Learning Foundation. Prior to her administrative position, she taught reading and drama at Keith Junior High School. She has also taught AP English in Ohio and served as a reading specialist at Youngstown South High School. She has presented at the International Reading Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School, and at the Summer Institute Intermediate Unit 08 Conference. Mrs. Burlingame has been recognized as a CARE Award Winner for her role as an outstanding teacher in the Altoona Area School District.

    Mrs.Burlingame earned her B.S in Secondary Education and reading specialist certification from Bowling Green State University, her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the Pennsylvania State University, and her principal's certification and Letter of Eligibility from Saint Francis University. She is currently an Adjunct Instructor for the Graduate Education Program at Saint Francis University.
