    About Ms. Mary Jean Bujdos

    • M.A., Italian - University of Pittsburgh

I have been an instructor of Italian for 21 years. For the past 10 years, I have also been teaching Italian to pre-school children at a local Montessori school. My translation work includes survey projects for PPG Industries, Transparent Language, and one published translation: Saint Benedict, Life and Miracles (Subiaco, 1992). I am also a consultant for the Translation Center at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I teach adult education classes. Areas of translation experience include Italian literature, drama, birth certificates, correspondence, religious stories, slang, and a current calendar project of Italian proverbs. Other areas include deeds, certifications, depositions, and affidavits, and interpreting for artists in residence in the field of ceramics.

One of my great passions is marathon running. My husband and I run them together. I have completed 53 marathons, and his total is more than double that number. I have a working knowledge of "running" vocabulary.
