    “The Green Path: Developing a Shared Ethic for Protecting the Planet” lecture

    Saint Francis University will host its 22nd annual Ethics Lecture on April 23. This year’s topic, “The Green Path: Developing a Shared Ethic for Protecting the Planet,” will be delivered by Ibrahim Abdul-Matin. The event will be at 7 pm in the John F. Kennedy Student Center Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

    Bishop of Altoona-Johnstown Diocese and U.S. Attorney to speak at Red Mass / Law Day

    Saint Francis University will host its annual Red Mass / Law Day on Friday, April 25, on its Loretto campus. Bishop Mark L. Bartchak, J.C.D., will serve as the celebrant for the Red Mass. The Reverend Gabriel J. Zeis, T.O.R., president of Saint Francis, will serve as the homilist. The Honorable David J. Hickton, United States Attorney, Western District of Pennsylvania, will give the keynote address at the luncheon.

    Rural Conference for Cancer Survivors: Education to Overcome the Fear

    This year's annual Rural Conference for CancerSurvivors: Education to Overcome the Fear isbeing hosted by the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health &Wellness/CERMUSA  on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:15a.m. to 1:15 p.m. This special event is open tosurvivors, their families, and all who support them. Informationand materials will be provided from many organizations and programsdedicated to helping survivors. Presentations from two dynamicspeakers in the field of cancer and survivorship, as well as twopanel discussions, will also be provided.

The two-day event is part of an ongoing series ofseminars dedicated to current trends in research, innovativetherapeutic strategies, and cutting-edge programming in the areasof health and wellness.  This event offers education andcontinuing education credits to a variety of disciplines, includingphysical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and athletictrainers.

     Saint Francis University will host an Adult Degree & Continuing Studies Information Session on Thursday, May 29, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. This is an online event. Once registered, you will receive a link and instructions regarding how to join the event. The event for current and prospective students will feature cyber door prizes and the opportunity to talk with University staff about certificate, associate, bachelor, and degree completion programs.
