Video: American Sign Language (ASL) Immersion Experience in Dominican Republic

Saint Francis students had a unique American Sign Language (ASL) immersion experience at the Mission School for the Deaf in Dajabon, Dominican Republic. Saint Francis students had the opportunity to: be paired with a Deaf student during morning and afternoon classes, teach lessons to the Deaf students, to teach ASL to the students who currently do not possess ASL skills, to turn off their voices for an entire week, and to grow their ASL skills by constantly using ASL with native language users.
