    POLICY ON WITHDRAWAL:


    All withdrawals and requests for refunds must be made in writing and will be calculated according tot he email time stamp (oce@francis.edu) it was delivered to the Office of Adult Degree & Continuing Studies. An individual will receive a tuition refund for a course withdrawal according to the following schedule:
     

    7 and 8 Week In-Class (Saturday-Friday)

    100% before or during the first week of class
    After week one, no refund will be given.

    7 Week Online Class (Monday-Sunday)

    100% before or during the first week of class
    After week one, no refund will be given.

    15 Week In-Class and Online

    100% before or during the first seven business days of the semester
    After seven business days, no refund will be given.

    5 Week or Less In-Class and Online

    No refund will be given for withdrawal occurring after the first day of class.

    Grade record for withdrawal policy

    (the grade policy is in no way connected to the financial penalty policy)

    In the case of withdrawal after the first week of class, a grade of “W” will be recorded on the transcript based on the following institutional formula:
     

    Fifteen week class

    48 days to receive a “W” grade
    On the 49th day a grade of “F” is awarded
    8 days to withdraw without any penalties

    Seven week class (counting the first and last days)
    21 days days to receive a "W" grade
    On the 22nd day a grade of “F” is awarded
    8 days to withdraw without any penalties

    Six week class (counting the first and last days)
    17 days to receive a "W” grade
    On the 18th day a grade of “F” is awarded
    1 day to drop without any penalties

    Classes that meet less than 6 weeks will be calculated to the same proportions.

    PLEASE NOTE: All schedule changes must be in writing to the Office of Adult Degree & Continuing Studies. Phone calls and/or messages are not accepted under any circumstances.
