SFU lauded once again by reviewers, receives top rankings

Saint Francis University is pleased to announce that it has been ranked in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings and Washington Monthly's College Guide and Rankings.

2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings

SFU made the prestigious cut as one of the "Best Regional Universities" in the North Region with a rank of #26 out of nearly 200 schools. The university's 'Best Regional Universities' places them with only 3 other Pennsylvania colleges. The University also made the list of "Best Undergraduate Teaching" at #28, "Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs," and is listed as a "Top Performer on Social Mobility".

When selecting the "Best Regional University" North Region contenders, U.S. News measures success metrics of institutions that focus on undergraduate education, yet also offer a robust portfolio of master's level programs. The ranking takes into account widely accepted indicators of excellence such as first-year student retention and graduation rates and the strength of the faculty. Saint Francis fits this criteria with more than 50 programs of study. The "Best Undergraduate Teaching Programs" ranking focuses on institutions that demonstrate an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a high-quality manner.

Washington Monthly's College Guide and Rankings

Saint Francis University has been ranked the #24 Best Bang for the Buck Northeast College. The Top 200 Master's Universities list features Saint Francis University as #23 in the nation.

The methodology Washington Monthly uses to determine rankings involves looking at a school's performance in three key areas: social mobility, research, and community and national service.
