Saint Francis alumnus John T. Carson ('91,
Management) returned to Loretto last week as an Executive-In-Residence (EIR) at the
Shields School of Business. Dean
Dr. Randy Frye welcomed Mr. Carson along with business students and other Shields faculty.
Mr. Carson is the Vice President of Health and Wealth Administration at
Alight Solutions Enterprise in Boston, a leading provider of human capital solutions. John leads a team, primarily in the eastern US, of senior sales executives who provide the solutions to clients by building long-standing relationships.
His extensive experience in the sales industry made Mr. Carson an exemplary EIR. Speaking to Shields students, prospective students and their parents, his presentation emphasized the importance of mentorship and networking, crediting both for his many career successes.
Mr. Carson's advice aligns with the core philosophies of the Shields School of Business, as its recent
Backpack-to-Briefcase Program includes EIR, global networking opportunities, and a
Mentorship Program that pairs accomplished alumni like Mr. Carson with existing business students.
After his lecture, Mr. Carson remained at Shields for the day, answering questions and graciously chatting with students about their career aspirations.
