Center for Fine arts Feb eventsThe faculty and staff of The Center for Fine Arts (CFA) are pleased to announce Fine Arts events taking place on campus in the month of February.  

Pep Band Alumni Game 

Feb. 9: The SFU Pep Band is inviting the Loretto Loyal to come back home and perform in the Pep Band Alumni Game at The Stokes Athletics Center.  The SFU Pep Band will be joined by former members in playing at the basketball double header.

2019 Twirlers Day


Feb. 16: University Bands welcomes over 20 twirlers of all ages to perform with our own SFU Majorettes at the Stokes Athletics Center.  Area twirlers will participate with the SFU Majorettes in special halftime performances at the men's basketball game against Robert Morris.

Central PA Regional Shakespeare Competition

Feb. 16: SFU will host the English Speaking Union as part of the Central PA Regional Shakespeare Competition from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in JFK.  This event is free and open to the public!   The National Shakespeare Competition provides teachers across the country with a performance-based program for the study of English Language Arts and Shakespeare. It is a school-based program serving Grades 9-12.

SFU Pep Band Side by Side

Feb. 23: The SFU Pep Band hosts their annual Side by Side at The Stokes Athletics Center.  The SFU Pep Band will host over 50 area high school students who will join in playing at the basketball double header.

Artists of the 21st Century

All Month:The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art will continue its tradition of celebrating the area’s talented young artists with the return of Artists of the 21st Century, the Museum’s twenty-first annual student art exhibition. More than 250 student-created works will be featured in the dual exhibition. Artists of the 21st Century will be on view at SAMA-Loretto from February 1 through March 23.
