Greek Life Begins Spring 2018 Recruitment

Phi Kappa Theta fraternityPhi Delta Kappa sororitySFU will begin recruitment for their Greek Life chapters on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Recruitment will begin with the Great Greek Meet & Greet in the JFK Student Center Lounge Wednesday evening at 8:00PM. The event offers the opportunity for any interested individual to speak to every Greek chapter on campus in an informal setting.

The following day will be the Sorority Recruitment Kick-Off event in Scotus Hall. This event is specifically for any women on campus that would like to learn more about the sorority chapters on campus. Each guest will have the opportunity to hear from each organization during 10-minute round robin sessions until they have heard from each organization. The Sorority Recruitment Kick-Off will begin at 9:30PM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Scotus Hall.

From Friday, January 19, 2018 until Tuesday, January 30, 2018 chapters will have the opportunity to host independent recruitment events for anyone who would like to learn more about a specific organization. More information about these events will be available for students in the near future.

Any current full-time student interested in becoming a member of any Greek organization can apply to be eligible to join the Greek Life community. Students must log in to their OrgSync account and complete the Greek Life New Member Eligibility Application. Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1:00PM.

Last semester the SFU Greek Life community welcomed 23 initiates to 8 different chapters.

  • Theta Phi Alpha – Allison Bare, Shay Boisvert, Gabrielle Sybert, and Ashton Truby

  • Phi Delta Kappa – Maria Del Mar Garia Kawas, and Michelle Hildebrand

  • Phi Lambda Psi – Mikenna Beattie, and Kristin Oliver

  • Psi Upsilon – Elliot Biddle

  • Omega Zeta Nu – Grace Bailey, Jaci Bray, Melissa Goodman, Lindsey Halerz, and Rachel Williams
