Many alumni and families of students have been affected by Hurricane Harvey on the Texas Coast. Please join us at the Noon Mass on Thursday, September 7 that will be offered for those affected by the storm, and for the relief workers who are helping them. Below are some additional ways we can work together to become that someone for victims in need.
Texas Diaper Bank
The Saint Francis University softball program is taking the initiative to collect monetary donations as well as new or slightly used items for babies and toddlers. The Texas Diaper Bank is a 501 C3 non-profit organization where 100% of your donation is going to be used for post-disaster Hurricane Harvey victims along the Texas Coast. Diapers are something that disaster relief agencies currently do not provide which is why organizations like this have been created. Please visit their website for more detailed information at www.texasdiaperbank.org.
Hope Fire Company in Northern Cambria has volunteered to be a drop off site for us to take the items so that tractor trailers can then take our items to Texas. They asked for the items to be boxed with what is inside written on top, so that the items can be loaded onto pallets and shrink wrapped. So depending on the size of the items, anything large would need to be dropped off there. Anything that can be loaded into a few trucks and SUVs we will be collecting at our office, 173, in Stokes.
Donating Funds: Please make checks out directly to the Texas Diaper Bank. If mailing a check, please send to:
