Saint Francis University has received official notification that its
Shields School of Business and its associated academic programs in business have been reaffirmed for specialized business school accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (
IACBE) for the next seven years, commencing on January 1, 2018.
Significantly, the school received a "clean" program audit, meaning it was reaffirmed without notes or problems that need addressed.
Referring to the
multi-million dollar renovation of Schwab Hall, home to the School of Business, the IACBE "commends the university for the new School of Business facilities that rival those of any Division 1 school and provide a professional learning environment for faculty and students. "
Additionally, the IACBE cited the School of Business's "robust
international travel opportunities and for the fund raising that allows the school to subsidize part of the students' travel expenses thus allowing more students to participate in these opportunities."
Dr. Randy Frye, Director of the School of Business at Saint Francis University, credited faculty and staff for their contribution to the school's successes.
"Since only approximately 60% of the collegiate business programs across the country have received specialized business program accreditation and a only few of our local competitors do, the teamwork behind the accreditation effort and the collective quality of our faculty, staff, and students that enabled us to earn it are notable accomplishments," said Frye. "I thank the entire faculty and staff for contributing to the excellence required to achieve specialized business program accreditation."
