ASL Sign Day at SFU

Saint Francis University will host the eighth annual ASL Sign Day on April 7. Sign Day is a fun introduction to ASL (American Sign Language) for students in grades K-12. 

The event will be held from 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the DiSepio Institute for Health and Wellness on campus. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.

Participants will be separated into age groups, and will take part in several fun activities throughout the day:

ASL Sign Day

  • Learn the American Manual Alphabet
  • Learn to count with ASL (American Sign Language)
  • Learn animal signs
  • Learn the National Anthem
  • SIGN JAM! – Learn how to sign a popular song

*Scout Troops: In addition to the above activities, scouts will learn the Scout Promise/Scout Law in sign language and be well on the way to earning a badge!


The cost for the event is $11 per participant, and includes a lot of fun. Registrations submitted after March 17 may not receive a t-shirt. The registration fee is non-refundable. 
*Bring a brown bag lunch labeled with participant's name.
