The Science Outreach Center is proudly announcing its Fifth Annular Solar 5K, a run and walk through the Solar System! Just as the previous years, we scaled down the Solar System to 5 kilometers placing the Sun, planets, and the Asteroid and Kuiper belts at their proper places within the system. When you are rushing or strolling through our solar system, you'll learn to appreciate the distances between sparsely scattered objects that populate our star system. Needless to say, while you are engaged in covering the distance, you are engaged in the healthy exercise of running or walking.

Whether you choose to walk or run through the solar system, you will get a chance to play science games, participate in science demonstrations and conduct experiments, and learn interesting facts about planets and about cool sciences on Earth.

Prizes: all runners and walkers will be entered in a raffle (additional raffle tickets can be purchased). Raffle prizes include cool science gadgets, science kits and toys, as well as a telescope!

Register by September 15th to receive a free t-shirt.
