Practical Approaches to Treatment of Marijuana Use Disorders Conference

The Saint Francis University Counseling Center will host a conference titled MARIJUANA: IMPACT AND CURRENT IMPLICATIONS on May 18, 2018. The conference will take place in DiSepio 213/214 with registration and continental breakfast beginning at 8:00 am.

Dr. William L. Mock, Executive Director of the Center for Interpersonal Development and Chief Trainer for the Ohio Institute for Addiction Studies in Lakewood, Ohio will be the featured speaker.

Some of the focal points of the workshop will include:

  • Medical marijuana: Recent data and new understandings
  • Personal Impact
  • Interventions: What's needed and When  
  • Marijuana myths
  • Legalization in all its forms

Cost for the conference is $75 and includes lunch and 5 CEU credits for social workers, licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and nurses.  This conference is approved by the IU-8 and also offers ACT 48 hours for PA teachers ($5.00 additional fee.)
