Multicultural Week 2017

Saint Francis University's School of Arts & Letters will kick off its annual Multicultural Week on September 24th. All events are open to the public, and admission is free. Student groups will provide music, dance, artistry, poetry, and food from countries all over the world in celebration of SFU students’ diverse identities and cultures. The week-long event includes cultural activities each day, ending with a Multicultural Festival on the campus mall on Friday, September 29th.

Along with a diverse American student body, students from over 40 different countries are enrolled at Saint Francis University. Multicultural week provides the opportunity to raise awareness about a variety of diverse identities and cultures, to open up safe spaces for discussing, safeguarding, and integrating diversity into campus and community life, to advocate for the right to dignity and respect for all human beings, to support the empowerment of disenfranchised or marginalized communities, and to produce a body of citizenry that values multiculturalism.
