The Dorothy Day Outreach Center at Saint Francis University has many initiatives geared toward children, the elderly, veterans, the poor, and people with special needs. With the assistance of agencies and volunteers, the DDOC has helped more than 1,500 families in need.
Volunteers help sort, organize, and stock food items to have available for our clients. Hours are on Tuesdays 9:00 am to 11:30 am & Thursdays 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Hours are subject to change without notice.
Clothing pantry is available Tuesday - Friday 9:00 am to 11:30 am and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Hours are subject to change without notice. Cost $1.00 per bag

Financial assistance is available from October 1st to April 1st yearly. Please call 814-472-2877 to set up an appointment. All appointments are held at the Dorothy Day Outreach Center.
The Dorothy Day Outreach Center holds 2 tag sales a year to benefit the Center's Financial Assistance program. 1st sale is last Saturday in July & 2nd tag sale is held in the Fall with date to be determined. Please call 814-472-2878 with any question.
Members of the Saint Francis University community prepare and serve a free Thanksgiving dinner each year for residents of the local nursing homes, senior centers and senior community members. Donations for the dinner are collected from faculty, staff, students, and friends of the Center. If you'd like to assist our efforts, please fill out the Thanksgiving Donation/Volunteer Form.

Angels bearing the age of a child are placed on a tree in Scotus Hall. SFU faculty, staff, students, and friends take an angel to purchase toys, clothing, and other items. For more information or to adopt a family for Christmas please call 814-472-2877.
Each year through the generosity of the Saint Francis University community and various churches and organizations, the D.D.O.C. is able to make and distribute food baskets for a number of families.
