The Exercise Physiology Concentration includes courses and clinical experiences oriented to Exercise Testing and Prescription for Cancer Survivors and Clinical Exercise Physiology to address the comorbidities associated with cancer that may also need treatment. There is also a strong translational research component as students will conduct research and complete a thesis.
The program will be linked to an increased emphasis on adjunct cancer treatments at our DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness Rehabilitation Center where survivors receive Physical, Occupational and or Speech Therapy in conjunction with exercise interventions for fatigue and other related comorbid conditions.
