Thérèse Ream, SFO

Thérèse Ream, SFO, Ph.D., has been a member of the Secular Franciscan Order since 1988. She and her husband David reside in the small rural community of Kirksville, Missouri. Her academic background includes: B.S. in Elementary Education; M.Ed. in Education; M.A. in Pastoral Ministry; and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. She has been an elementary educator in both public and Catholic schools and an instructor at Saint Francis College. Presently, she works as a home-based curriculum consultant. She served on the Advisory Board for the Institute for Contemporary Franciscan Life from 1991-2006, and was privileged to be one of the people involved during its initial stages. Thérèse served as the Institute’s Coordinator from 2001-2006. Thérèse and her husband served as co-chairs of the National Formation Commission of the Secular Franciscan Order in the United States from 1996-2002.
